GRAIN SACK VEST
This vest is constructed with a 1912 grain sack. These sacks were used over and over so they are unique with wear spots, patches and discolorations. This grain sack was produced by Amoskeag Manufacturing Company founded in the year 1810 and was one of the largest cotton textile plants in the world. Located in Manchester, New Hampsire, the company had 30 buildings and 17,000 employees.
The vest is fitted and shaped for a female figure. It has a snap closure and welt pockets. Due to the limited size of the grain sack coordinating fabrics were included in the design.
